The guy-wrenching trailer of Vinod Kapri’s Pihu is here. It is a thriller based on a true story where a 2-year-old girl locks herself up inside a fridge. In one scene, a woman, presumably her mother, is also in the house but she is not making any move.
She is either dead or in deep sleep. Now, the kid is roaming around the house with absolutely nobody to take care of her movements. From Pihu spilling water all over the floor, switching on all electrical appliances, lighting a gas burner to her climbing up the railing of her open balcony to get her toy that has fallen from her hand on the main road, every scene in the trailer is so scary.
Pihu is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur & Shilpa Jindal and directed by Vinod Kapri who earlier won a National Award for his documentary ‘Can’t Take This Shit Anymore’.
He has also directed ‘Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho’ which received rave reviews.
According to a daily, Kapri had a difficult time financing the film.”Most of them questioned me how am I going to hold the attention of the audience for 100 minutes with only one actor, who is a child? I was worried over the delay as the girl was growing up. I wanted to make the film with her before she turned three,” he said.
