We all are excited about Friendship day, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s day, Father’s Day etc. we buy gifts for our near and dear ones, make sure they are happy. But what happens on Worlds AIDS day, Organ Donation day? Why most of us don’t bother to make AIDS patients happy? Why don’t we take a step ahead to fill the forms for Organ donation?
There is still lies a wide gap while communication the myths and risks related to Organ donation. Last year, I have seen one of my aunt fighting for her life after, doctors declared failure of both the kidneys. I was disheartened. I wondered why people brain dead people can’t donate their heart valves, why are their family members reluctant in donating kidneys. Some say that the body is disfigured. But people reading this out, it is nothing like that. The following organs can be donated –
- Small Intestine
- Skin tissues
- Bone tissues
- Heart valves
So friends, this 13th August, let us stand together and pledge that no more deaths should take place because of unavailability of an organ. Be the real hero even after your life span is over and help your countrymen in your life by donating your precious organs to someone who need it very seriously. Just imagine how obliged a person would be to you even after you have all gone.
Think about it and approach the right NGOs like Gift Your Organ Foundation, Mohan foundation etc.
