Top 10 blockbusters by Rajnikanth !

Rajnikanth’s Kabali’s fever is widespread not just in India but all over the world. i am sure you too must have watched it or must be planning to watch it today. Though I am not a kid born in his era, but I have seen his best classic hits. Here’s a list of all the movies I have seen of the star, each better than the other.

1.  Andhaa Kaanoon (1983)– it stars Amitabh Bachhan as a forest officer who found illegal cutting of sandalwood trees. In retaliation, one of the poacher is killed due to which Amitabh faces 7 years of imprisonment. When he is released, he finds Rajnikanth who is a young man named Vijay Singh in the movie, and he finds out that he is struggling with taking vengeance against three men who had traumatized and killed some of his family members, and decides to help him.

2. Jeet humari- Jeet Hamari was directed by R Thyagarajan featuring Rajnikanth, Rakesh Roshan, Ranjeeta Kaur and Anita Raj in the lead. Rajni Uncle in this movie had grown up to be the thief, who later encoured his own family to be his enemies.

3.  Meri adalat- Directed by A T Raghu, the film, released in 1984. It was a revenge drama featuring Rajinikanth in the lead supported by Zeenat Aman, Mohnish Behl, Sonia Sahni and Komal Mahuakar.

4.  Gangva- Gangvaa in 1984 was a hit directed by Rajasekhar. The film featured Rajinikanth, Shabana Azmi and Suresh Oberoi. Gangvaa was a remake of his 1983 Tamil film ‘Malaiyur Mambattiyaan’. Rajni uncle named as Gangva in the movie kills zamindar who had confiscated a pot full of gold coins inspite of being extremely wealthy.

5.  John Jani Janardhan- John Jani Janardhan is a Hindi film is directed by T.Rama Rao. Rajinikanth played the main lead in a triple role. John being the father and johnny and janardhan being the two sons. It is a remake of the 1982 Tamil film Moondru Mugam which starred Rajinikanth and Raadhika. The tittle is took from the introduction song of Amitabh Bachchan in Naseeb.

6.   Bloodstone (1988)- Rajni Uncle also made his only English film appearance in Bloodstone, directed by Dwight Little. The mystery-adventure film was produced by Ashok Amritraj and Sunanda Murali Manohar. Though I didn’t like the movie but seeing Rajni uncle in an English film was exciting.

7.  Muthu (1995)- The film was a blockbuster and completed a 175-day run at the box office. It was later released in Japanese as Muthu Odoru Maharaja which means Muthu – The Dancing Maharaja.  The film grossed a record US$ 1.6 million in Japan in 1998 and was responsible for creating a large Japanese fan-base for the actor. Muthu’s success in Japan led American news magazine Newsweek to comment in a 1999 article that Rajinikanth had “supplanted Leonardo DiCaprio as Japan’s trendiest heartthrob.”

8.  Baasaha (1995)– Baashha is an action thriller film starring Rajinikanth, Nagma, and Raghuvaran in which he played the role of a protagonist, who takes revenge for his friend’s murder.this was the movie which made me a huge fan of Rajni uncle and such a movie is yet not made in Indian cinema. The punch dialogues and the mannerisms of Rajini were extremely well received.

9.  Enthiran (2010) – Rajinikanth Uncle was seen in the dual roles, as a scientist and a robot with Aishwarya Rai aunt paired opposite him. The superstar’s role as a robot that turns into a villain was loved by our generation more than his role as the scientist who creates the robot.

10.  Chandramukhi (2005)- from serious role to a role of a philanthropist, Rajni Uncle has done it all, he left no genre untouched. Chandramukhi is a Indian Tamil-language horror comedy film written and directed by P. Vasu.

So friends! If you have seen any movie of superstar Rajni Uncle, please let us know if I have missed out any of his amazing movie.
